Selects Chair and Vice-Chair of the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission for fiscal year 24/25.
RECOMMENDATION
Arts and Culture Advisory Commission - Adopt a motion nominating and appointing a Chair and Vice-Chair.

DISCUSSION
Following is a list of duties assumed by the Chair and Vice-Chair for the ACAC.
Being Chair involves several responsibilities in addition to running the Committee meetings.
ACAC Members who have not served as Chair might discuss the responsibilities with the present or former chair to understand what is involved. Seniority is often a consideration.
The following is a list of the ACAC Chair's responsibilities. A number of these can fall upon the vice-chair in the chair's absence.
1. Preside at all meetings of the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission
2. Call special ACAC meetings in accordance with legal requirements and the Rules of Procedure.
3. See that all actions of the ACAC are proper.
4. Assist staff in determining agenda items.
5. Appoint sub-committees as necessary.
6. Attend certain City Council, and other meetings as ACAC representative.
