DISCUSSION
As part of the 2022/23 Budget, City Council allocated $100,000 for art project installations within the City of Merced. Twelve artists were selected based on design concepts and locations. Five artists were selected in Phase 1 and seven artists were selected in Phase 2.

- Eddie Rodriguez - McNamara Youth Center - front pillars and back wall
- Joel Aguilar - Applegate Zoo - Zoo Barn Exterior - working with artist to confirm design and colors
- Patricia Pratt - Mural on wall of City of Merced Purchasing Building - Design Confirmed
- Karen McComb - Mural on utility box at Olive & M Street - Design Confirmed
- Patricia Pratt - Mural on 3 City of Merced dumpster enclosures - Designs Confirmed (Enclosure #1 and enclosure #2 at 320 W. 18th Street & 615 W. 15th Street - McCombs Youth Center
- Eddie Rodriguez - Mural on 3 City of Merced Utility Boxes at G & Main, G & Olive, R & Yosemite - Designs Confirmed
- Cheryl Barnett - Metal Sculpture at renovated Bob Hart Square - working with City Engineering Dept to confirm a location in Bob Hart Square and to confirm the sculpture’s base size. This will allow the artist to design the 6 to 10’ sculpture.
