DISCUSSION

At the May 16, 2022 council meeting, staff presented 10 proposals for FY 22/23 Community Funding.  After Council discussion, staff was requested to rebid the community funding with the direction for applicants to have their proposals align with the needs voiced by the community and include measurable performances. Council also gave direction for the 10 proposals to be grandfathered into the new bid process.

Staff resubmitted the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Community Funding on June 6, 2022.  In the RFP, staff recommended applicants review the May 16, 2022 council meeting to align submitted proposals with Council guidelines.  A link to this meeting was included.

Four of the ten original proposers submitted a revised proposal, and three new proposals were submitted, for a total of 13 proposals. Proposals were scored by the City Council Sub-Committee on Budget. The chart below lists the 13 proposers, summarizes the proposal description, and lists the sub-committee scores. The Community Funding Summary is also included as Attachment 1.

As part of the FY 2022/23 Budget, the City Council allocated a total of $50,000 for community funding.  Staff are seeking City Council direction on the awards for Community Funding for this fiscal year.  Upon direction, staff will prepare contracts for services with each organization.
