Over the past several meetings the Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee has expressed interest in the following items:
Feb. 25th, 2025:
* Having a BPAC Commissioner added to the Traffic Committee.
* Having Engineering schedule a deeper presentation of Speed Study.
* The Analysis behind the placement and removal of crosswalks.
* A list of Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and highlighting the projects that more affect Active Transportation and allow for Commissions Involvement.
* UC Merced SS4A bike path updates.
* A presentation by the Bus Transit Agency about their services.
* Information about Bicycle Accessibility at Bob Hart Square.
Aug. 26th, 2025:
* A separation of the bike lane on Main St. from traffic lane.
* SS4A designs of G St. bike lane from Mercy Ave. to Bellevue Rd.
* M St. and Cardella Safety Analysis.
* V St. and 11th St. Crossing Guard near misses.
* Discussion of Traffic Committee make up and Council Member Harris' proposal before Council.
Oct. 28th, 2025:
* Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) - Active Transportation Focus, and to be updated with relevant BPAC updates/progress within.
* Request Planning Staff to coordinate with Engineering to prepare and distribute a BPAC-focused list of active transportation-related CIP projects for Commission to identify priority projects.
Apr. 28th, 2026:
* Presentation on how bicycle design standards are included in developer's requirements, and the correct course of action to fix any mistakes.
* Measure V Presentation on Pedestrian Projects.
* Bicycle and Pedestrian safety on bike paths agenda brought up again.
* UC Merced to talk about Safe Streets for All.
* Brown Act Training (Member THOMAS requested training via email instead of a meeting item).
* Priority Projects for Active Transportation Item...
