RECOMMENDATION

City Council - Adopt a motion approving FY 2021/22 Goals and Priorities.

DISCUSSION

On February 11^th and 18^th, the City Council held virtual Town Hall meetings to review the results of a community survey and respond to questions posed by residents.  Following the virtual Town Halls, the City Council convened a Strategic Planning Session on February 27^th to review and discuss various areas to direct the FY 2021/22 Budget development.  Attached for City Council consideration are the proposed Goals & Priorities that emerged from the Strategic Planning Session, along with Guiding Principle statements to assist staff in their day-to-day work. 

When possible, concrete timeframes were provided to the various policy areas.  Staff is seeking direction on specific one-time funding projects to include in the City Manager’s Budget in May 2021, which will also allow for project timelines to be established.
