REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers approving the use of the Merced Yosemite Regional Airport to Host the City/County Relations Dinner, to include alcohol (beer and wine only).

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:

A. Approving the use of the Merced Yosemite Regional Airport to host the City/County Relations dinner on April 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and,

B. Approving the sale of alcohol (beer and wine only).

AUTHORITY
Charter of the City of Merced, Section 200, and Merced Municipal Code Section 9.12.020 - Serving or drinking liquors on street:

It is unlawful, and a misdemeanor, subject to punishment in accordance with Chapter 1.12 of the Code, for any person to serve, drink, consume, or have in his/her possession an open container containing any spirituous, vinous, malt, or any other intoxicating liquors in or upon any of the streets, sidewalks, alleys, parks, parking lots, or any public place in the city, unless otherwise permitted by the Merced Municipal Code or authorized by the city council.

CITY COUNCIL PRIORITIES
As provided for in the 2024/2025 Adopted Budget.

DISCUSSION
The City/County Relations dinner is a dinner meeting aimed at building relationships and collaboration among all cities in Merced County, including Merced County. This dinner is held once every quarter and is hosted by the local agencies on a rotation basis. This quarter is City of Merced's turn to host the City/County Relations dinner.
