Considers approving a public art mural installation along the R Street and Fahrens Park multiuse path undercrossing.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:
A. Approving a public art mural installation along the R Street and Fahrens Park multiuse path undercrossing as recommended by the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission; and,
B. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

DISCUSSION
Staff is seeking approval of a public art mural installation along the R Street and Fahrens Park multiuse path undercrossing.
The Arts and Culture Advisory Commission suggests issuing a Call for Art Projects for an interactive mural project to enhance the undercrossing beneath R Street and Fahrens Park.
This mural will transform the frequently used pedestrian and bicycle path into a vibrant community space. The design should depict a lively scene, with interactive elements such as augmented reality or tactile features to engage the public. The goal is to foster a sense of pride and ownership within the community by celebrating local culture while making the space more welcoming and enjoyable for all.
