RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion adopting Resolution 2025-18, a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Merced, California, Adopting City Council Policy C-1, How Members of the City Council and the Public Have Items Placed on the City Council Agenda.

DISCUSSION
On February 3, 2025, Council Member Dupont requested to discuss the existing City Council Policy C-1, How Members of the City Council and the Public Have Items Placed on the City Council Agenda.
During the March 3, 2025, City Council Meeting, Council Member Dupont presented his proposed changes to the policy. Council discussed the proposed policy changes at length. Council directed staff to have the Ethics and Governance Subcommittee have a further discussion on the revisions of policy C-1.
IMPACT ON CITY RESOURCES
No impact on budget appropriations.
