Considers awarding the bid and approving the purchase of farm chemicals for the Land Application Division for Fiscal Year 2023/2024.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:
A. Awarding the bid and approving purchases up to $60,000 with Nutrien Ag Solutions through June 30, 2024; and,
B. Authorizing the City buyer to issue the purchase order.

AUTHORITY
Charter of the City of Merced, Article XI, Section 1111-Competitive bidding, and Merced Municipal Code Chapter 3.04 Article III - the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and contractual services of an estimated value greater than thirty-six thousand dollars ($36,000), the "contract threshold", shall be made by the purchasing supervisor by written contract with the lowest responsible bidder.

DISCUSSION
The City of Merced Land Application Division utilizes multiple vendors for the purchase of various farm chemicals. These farm chemicals, including insecticides, herbicides, and fertilizer, are essential to daily operations of the Land Application farming operation.
