Considers awarding a Construction Contract to Badillo Construction & Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $165,561.00 for Project CP250061, Stowell Elementary School sidewalks and crosswalks.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:
A. Awarding the Construction Contract for Stowell School Sidewalks and Crosswalks, Project CP250061, to Badillo Construction & Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $165,561.00; and,
B. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents and to approve change orders not to exceed 15% of the total contract.

DISCUSSION
On June 17, 2024, Council approved Resolution 2024-55 adding Stowell School & Sidewalks to the Roads Repair Accountability Act (SB-1) for fiscal year 2024-2025.
This project is located on 11th Street, D Street and E Street near Stowell Elementary School. The sidewalk has been damaged by tree roots and in desperate need to repair. A portion of this project will add access ramps to the intersection of 11th Street and E street. The upgrade at the respective intersection is needed...
