REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers accepting a $84,236 Airport Improvement Program Grant awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration for use at the Merced Regional Airport.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:
A. Approving a grant agreement between Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the City of Merced; and,
B. Approving acceptance of grant funds and increasing the Airport Capital Improvement Fund revenue account 461-1303-321.10-00 in the amount of $84,236 and appropriating the same to account 461-1303-667.65-00; and,
C. Authorizing the Finance Officer to make the necessary budget adjustments; and,
D. Authorizing the City Manager or the Deputy City Manager to execute all necessary grant documents.

1. Approve as recommended by staff; or,
2. Approve, subject to modifications as conditioned by Council; or,
3. Deny the request completely; or
4. Refer back to staff for reconsideration of specific items as requested by Council; or,
5. Continue item to a future Council meeting (date to be specified in City Council motion).

DISCUSSION
Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Project No. 3-06-0152-028-2022 will fund engineering design and develop construction documents to rehabilitate pavement at Merced Yosemite Regional Airport to include the following: Taxiway A with connecting taxiways: ~600,225 square feet; Apron Area: ~53,300 square yards; Terminal Parking Lot: ~7,175 square yards.
