DISCUSSION
During their June 20, 2024, meeting, the Citizen’s Stipend Setting Commission discussed and recommended a monthly stipend for the Mayor and Council Members. At the June 27, 2024 meeting, the Commission unanimously voted to give Council Members a $500 monthly stipend and the Mayor a $600 monthly stipend. The Commission provided a written recommendation to Council, which Council approved a resolution to adopt the Commission’s recommendation at their July 15, 2024, City Council meeting.
The Citizens’ Stipend Setting Commission is to review the previous recommendation and adopted resolution to make a recommendation of the Council and Mayor’s monthly stipend for January 1, 2027-December 31, 2028.
