REPORT IN BRIEF
Consider the approval of the First Amendment to the LPA, Inc. Professional Services Agreement, to conduct a structural analysis of the Central Police Station and assess programming and facility layout for an additional not-to-exceed amount of $17,500.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion approving the first amendment to the agreement with LPA, Inc., and authorizing the City Manager or Deputy City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

This project aligns with the City Council's Goals and Priorities for FY 2021-22.

DISCUSSION
During the fall of 2018, staff conducted a Request for Proposal to evaluate consultants to perform a needs assessment for a future police headquarters.

On January 22, 2019, Council awarded the Needs Assessment contract to LPA, Inc. in partnership with MWL, Inc. in the amount of $165,850.

On September 30, 2019, Council was provided with an update on the Needs Assessment by representatives from LPA, Inc. (lead designer and architect) and MWL Architects (police facility specialists). Council directed staff to work with the consultants on factors influencing the size of the future police headquarters.
