SUBJECT: Appointment of a New Applicant (District 2) to the Planning Commission
REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers appointing a new applicant to a currently vacant District 2 seat on the Planning Commission.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion appointing a qualified elector of District 2 to fill the current vacancy on the Planning Commission for said district.

1. Appoint the qualified individual as recommended by staff; or,
2. Refer back to staff with direction to resume recruitment of applicants.

DISCUSSION
The District 2 seat on the Planning Commission has been vacant since the move to by district appointments by the City Council. The Clerk’s Office has received one eligible application for the District 2 seat from Ronnie DeAnda.
History and Past Actions
The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council the adoption, amendment, or repeal of the City’s Master Plan for the physical development of the City.
Attached are the current roster for the Planning Commission and the application for the individual seeking appointment to the vacancy in District 2. The matter is now before the Council.
