RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion approving of a Supplemental Appropriation from the Unencumbered, Unreserved Fund Balance of the General Fund in the Amount of $103,000 for Fiscal year 2024/25 Art Projects; and,

DISCUSSION
The City Council in the past few years has allocated funding for art projects during the budget process. In fiscal year 2023/24, the City Council allocated $100,000 for art installations throughout Merced. As part of the 2024/25 budget, the City Council was advised that due to the demands of CalTrans and Heartland Creative Corps-funded art projects, staff did not have the capacity to manage additional art projects, and the $100,000 allocation for FY 2023/24 was not utilized and would be carried over into Fiscal Year 2024/25 budget. In order to carry over a budget into the new year certain administrative processes needed to be completed before the end of the 2023/24 fiscal year.
