REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers approving the Salary Table for 2025 to bring the City of Merced in compliance with the CalPERS requirement for a publicly available pay schedule.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:

A. Adopting Resolution 2025-51, a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Merced, California approving the City-Wide Salary Table for 2025; and,

B. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

Resolutions No. 2024-73 and 2024-89 - Resolutions of the City Council of the City of Merced Establishing an Employer-Employee Organizations Relations Policy.

DISCUSSION
CalPERS requires all contracted agencies to have a publicly available pay schedule that is in compliance with the Public Employees' Retirement Law (PERL), Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013 (PEPRA) and Title 2 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR). Subdivision (a) of CCR section 570.5 defines the requirements for a public available pay schedule. Pay rates shall be limited to the amount listed on the pay schedule and must been all the following eight (8) requirements:

1. Be duly adopted and approved by the employer's governing body in accordance with requirements of applicable public meetings law.
2. Identify the position title for every employee position.
3. Show the pay rate as a single amount or multiple amounts within a range for each identified position.
4. Indicate the time base, including, but not limited to; whether the time base is hourly, daily, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, or annually.
