DISCUSSION

At the February 27, 2021 Strategic Planning Session, the City Council requested that staff provide information to the City Council on Homeless Services available within the City of Merced. During the April 5, 2021 meeting, Council directed staff to work to reduce the number of encampments within the City and to provide supportive services within those encampments, meeting the immediate needs of individuals and offering housing options.

The attached presentation provides an update to the efforts made over the eight months since Council’s direction.
