REPORT IN BRIEF
Accepts nominations to fill one Commissioner vacancy in District 5, the At-Large seat and one Ex-Officio seat on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion accepting nominations and appointing one individual to serve as Commissioner for District 5, one individual to serve as the At-Large Commissioner and one individual to serve as an Ex-Officio member.

4. Direct the Clerk's Office to continue recruitment for the vacancies.

DISCUSSION
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) serves as an advisory body to the City of Merced advising the City Council on matters relating to improving conditions for bicycling, pedestrian activity, and other modes of active transportation within the City of Merced, as well as the mobility needs of the elderly and those with disabilities.
The Commission consists of seven registered City of Merced voting members appointed by Council District, with up to four ex-officio members appointed at City Council discretion. Ex-officio members are non-voting members who may be non-City residents who live within the City's sphere of influence or persons who otherwise demonstrate a strong concern for bicycle and pedestrian related issues within the City. Regular meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every even numbered month during normal business hours.
