DISCUSSION

At the November 26, 2024, Arts and Culture Advisory Commission Meeting, Commissioner Camarda asked for information about revitalizing the Merced Art Hop.

Vice Chair Dennis will provide an update based on the following information:

The Merced County Arts Council is curating artists and performers for Merced’s monthly Art Hop, which will resume after a long hiatus. The first event will coincide with the Mercado Night Market organized by the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Taking place on Main Street and surrounding side streets from N Street to Martin Luther King, Jr. BLVD in the heart of downtown Merced. The Art Hop will occur on the first Thursday of each month from 6 to 9 pm.

The Merced Art Hop is where friends and neighbors of all ages can explore a variety of venues featuring art and live performances that showcase extraordinary local artists while supporting downtown businesses.
