Title
SUBJECT: Adoption of a Resolution Approving the First Amendment to the 2020-2021 Master Tow Service Agreement
REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers the extension of the 2020-2021 Merced Police Department Tow Service Agreement that will extend the current agreement 90 days to September 30th, 2021. This will allow ample time for Council to approve the 2021-2022 Tow Service Agreement that will go into effect July 1, 2021 and expire June 30, 2022.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:
A. Adopting Resolution 2021-66, a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Merced, California, approving the first amendment to the 2020-2021 Master Tow Service Agreement; and,
B. Authorizing the City Manager or the designee to execute the necessary documents.

DISCUSSION
The current fiscal year 2020-2021 Tow Service Agreement expires on June 30, 2021. The 2020-2021 Tow Service Agreement has worked out well for both the City of Merced and the rotational tow companies. There are no recommended changes to this agreement for the 2021-2022 service year. This request is to extend the current 2020-2021 Tow Service Agreement pending Council approval of the 2021-2022 Tow Service Agreement.

No appropriation of funds is needed.
