RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion approving the third contract change order with Hoffman Electronic Systems, in the amount of $14,495, to upgrade the existing alarm monitoring system at the Wastewater Treatment Facility for a total contract amount of $70,769; and authorizing the City Manager or Deputy City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

DISCUSSION
The Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) alarm system is antiquated and at the end of its service life. Sensors, alarm boards, and other various components have been replaced as they fail, but most parts in service are over 15 years old, with some ancillary parts that are over 30 years old. The stand-by operators receive multiple false alarms at a frequency that implies the service life has been reached.
