DISCUSSION
The ad hoc park site selection committee met virtually on Tuesday, September 8th to review three additional park site options for the proposition 68 grant. Present were: Vice Chair Douglas Piuser, Chair Valente Huitron and Clerk Jennifer Arellano, Member Yesenia Curiel was unable to attend.
At the time of the last regular Recreation and Parks Commission meeting on August 24 these sites were not considered due to only being park renovations which generally score lower and are thus not as competitive. However, after the Commission meeting it was discovered that these 3 additional sites do score very competitively despite not being new park projects.
In order to select the most desired site in the community as well as the most competitive, these 3 additional sites were brought before the ad hoc committee for consideration and reprioritization along with all the previously reviewed sites. The committee will give an update of their decisions tonight.
