SUBJECT: Authorization to Donate Surplus Self Contained Breathing Apparatus and Related Equipment to Merced College Fire Technology Program
REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers authorizing to donate a surplus Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and spare bottles previously used by the Fire Department to the Merced College Fire Technology program.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:
A. Authorizing the donation of surplus self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), related equipment and air bottles to the Merced College Fire Technology program; and,
B. Approving the Full Release and Indemnity Agreement with Merced College and authorizing the City Manager execute all necessary documents.

3. Deny this request; or
4. Refer back to staff for reconsideration of specific items (specific items to be addressed in City Council motion); or,

Merced Municipal Code 3.04.370 - Surplus materials, supplies and equipment.
A. All departments shall submit to the purchasing supervisor, at such times and in such forms as he prescribes, reports showing all materials, supplies and equipment which are no longer used or which have become obsolete, worn out, scrapped, unnecessary or unsuitable for public use.
