At the City Council Meeting of October 19, 2015, Jill McLeod was appointed to the Planning Commission as a replacement for an open seat after a formal interview process. The replacement term of Ms. McLeod expired on July 1, 2016. Because she was appointed as a replacement to less than a full term, she is eligible for re-appointment. She has expressed a desire to be re-appointed to the Commission.

At the City Council Meeting of May 2, 2016, Council was presented with the Annual Vacancies Report and directed staff to recruit for upcoming vacancies. The notices were posted as directed and a press release item was facilitated by the City's Public Information Officer.
