SUBJECT: First Amendment to Landscape Maintenance Services Agreement - "G" Street Undercrossing Landscape Development
REPORT IN BRIEF
Consider approving a one-year extension with Yard Masters, Incorporated, for the period of August 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, for landscape maintenance services at the "G" Street railroad undercrossing landscape development.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:
A. Approving the First Amendment to Agreement for Landscape Services with Yard Masters, Incorporated, in the amount of $27,500, to provide landscape maintenance services at the "G" Street undercrossing landscape development; and,
B. Authorizing the City Manager or Assistant City Manager to sign the necessary documents.

3. Deny.
AUTHORITY
Professional Contractual services with an estimated value greater than $30,000, are made by written contract in accordance with Merced Municipal Code, "Title 3-Revenue and Finance, Chapter 3.04-Purchasing System, Article III-Purchases Over Twenty Five Thousand Dollars, Section 3.04-120-Written Contracts."

DISCUSSION
The Public Works Department is requesting approval of a one-year landscape maintenance services agreement with Yard Masters, effective August 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.
Yard Masters continues to provide quality, cost-effective landscape maintenance services to this recently-developed landscaped area, located on the east and west sides of "G" Street, between East 23rd and 26th Streets, including the center median.
It is crucial that maintenance services continue in this heavily-traveled thoroughfare, due to its high visibility and to the initial funding expended to design and install the existing landscape.
