REPORT IN BRIEF
Requesting approval of MaryAnn McKissick's application to install a Memorial Plaque on a bench in Rahilly Park along the bike path.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion approving the request from MaryAnn McKissick to install a memorial plaque on a bench in Rahilly Park.

DISCUSSION
MaryAnn McKissick approached the Parks and Recreation Department about installing a memorial bench and plaque to honor her late husband, Bob McKissick, in Rahilly Park along a part of the Bike Path he used to frequent. After learning from Public Works that they already planned to install surplus benches along the Bike Path, she then asked to install a plaque by one of these benches with his name. Public Works was agreeable to this proposal. Mrs. McKissick will supply the plaque.

Mr. Bob McKissick was an active donor and volunteer in the community, coached youth sports and frequently walked along the bike path. Specifically, he supported and volunteered with: Merced City Sports, Merced County Arts Council, Playhouse Merced, Courthouse Museum, Chamber of Commerce, Merced Sesquicentennial Celebration, Salvation Army, and American Legion to name a few.
