REPORT IN BRIEF
Accepting and appropriating $35,000 from Merced Breakfast Lions Club for construction of concrete bleachers at Merced Sports Complex.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:

A. Accepting and appropriating $35,000 in donations funds from Merced Breakfast Lions Club to fund 424, Project #118031; and,

B. Authorizing the Finance Officer to make the necessary budget adjustment; and,

C. Authorizing the City Manager or Assistant City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

DISCUSSION
The project is located on 1800 block of Wardrobe Ave. The City received a donation of $35,000 from the Merced Breakfast Lions Club to build concrete bleachers for the lighted baseball field. The other two fields already have concrete bleachers. With the addition concrete bleachers on the lighted field, it opens up the potential of extending the playing season.

The Parks and Recreation Department applied for the Legacy grant. The Interim Director of Parks and Recreation, Mike Conway and Recreation Supervisor, Joey Chavez made a presentation to the Club for the funding during one of the Club's regular meetings. The Merced Breakfast Lions Club awarded the City $35,000 as part of its Legacy grant program.
