DISCUSSION
In April 2007, the City of Merced purchased approximately 38.9 acres from the Garcilazo Family Trust for a future regional park (CP-42) located at the northwest corner of Tyler Road and Mission Avenue.

In June 2013, the City Council authorized the transfer of a portion of the southeast corner to the Water Department for Well Site 20 and has since then leased the remaining portion of the property to Seth Rossow for agricultural use.

With the construction of Well Site 20, staff was approached by Merced Irrigation District (MID) to allow MID to install electric service lines along the frontage of Tyler Road and Mission Avenue in anticipation for current and future development.

Staff is requesting Council approve the right-of-way dedication along Tyler Road and Mission Avenue.

IMPACT ON CITY RESOURCES
No appropriation of funds is needed for this action.
