DISCUSSION

Over the past year, staff have been working collaborative a core group of elected officials and staff from the County and other Cities to develop a draft Regional Homeless Plan for all of Merced County. The enclosed presentation is a high-level summary of the components of the proposed services and facilities to address homeless issues throughout the County.

On June 3, 2019, the same report was presented to the Continuum of Care (CoC) for consideration and direction.  The CoC Board provided their approval of the plan to move forward with finalizing for adoption. Staff are seeking direction from the City Council on the proposed plan to take the next steps in finalizing the document for formal adoption.
