Recreation and Parks Commission - Adopt a motion approving a location for the Starry Night Homeless Remembrance Project.

DISCUSSION
Monika Modest has approached the City of Merced for a homeless remembrance project and is requesting to place it on the back of the Merced Open Air Theater (MOAT) or Arbor Walkway. The Parks and Community Services Department rents out the MOAT for programs, concerts and theater events. It a source of revenue for the department and is used frequently in the spring and summer months.
The Parks and Community Services Department does not have authority to approve projects in the Arbor Walkways.
Monika Modest will be presenting details of the project and her recommendations for proposed locations for the tiles.
IMPACT ON CITY RESOURCES
Potential costs for tile maintenance, cleaning and repair unknown at this time.
