A presentation will be made by Dr. MariaElena Gonzalez and Dr. Anna Epperson from UC Merced’s Nicotine and Cannabis Policy Center and Dr. Gordon Arakawa from Merced County Department of Public Health.
RECOMMENDATION
It is requested Council give staff further direction on this item.

DISCUSSION
At the November 4, 2019 Council Meeting, Council Member Echevarria sponsored an item to discuss vaping regulations and sales in the City of Merced. He requested Council continue the discussion at future meetings. Council directed staff to gather information from the State and Federal level and return to Council with the information.
Staff scheduled professionals from UC Merced’s Nicotine and Cannabis Policy Center and the Merced County Public Health Department to further educate Council on the issues of youth vaping.
