On July 6, 2020, after receiving comments from the public, the City Council discussed the potential censure of Council Member Echevarria.  At the conclusion of the discussion, the Council unanimously agreed to move forward with the censure process and directed staff to draft a proposed resolution of public censure based upon the information provided at the meeting.

As directed by the City Council, staff prepared the attached proposed resolution based upon the direction given.  The proposed resolution is attached for review and edits, if any, for a response from Council Member Echevarria, if any, and formal adoption, if that is the desire of the Council.  The proposed public censure resolution was delivered by the City Attorney via e-mail to Council Member Echevarria on July 13, 2020.

If a majority of the Council votes to approve the resolution, it will be adopted.
