Update on the lighting upgrades at McNamara Park. Upgrades are being sought for turf soccer fields, grass soccer fields, and the skate park.

2022/2023- Parks- Continue to explore opportunities for increased accessibility for all residents.
DISCUSSION
Parks and Recreation staff are working with the Engineering Department to maximize the opportunity to upgrade lighting at McNamara Park. Lighting will be upgraded to LED at the Turf Soccer Fields and the Skate Park. Parks and Community Services Staff are working with Engineering to include upgrades to the grass soccer fields as well but may be limited due to cost. This has caused some delay in the timeline for work to commence. Commission will receive an update on the confirmed work to be done once an agreed upon scope of the project is determined and timeline for work has been secured.
IMPACT ON CITY RESOURCES
A Capital Improvement Project was created in the amount of $350,000 to support this project in Fiscal Year 22/23.
