DISCUSSION
In May 2022, the City entered into an Agreement for legal services with the law firm of Best, Best & Krieger in the amount of $25,000 for specialized work on personnel related matters pursuant to the City Manager's contract authority. Additional funding in the amount of $55,000 is necessary for additional legal work on these matters. This amendment will increase the not-to-exceed contracted amount from $25,000 to $80,000.

IMPACT ON CITY RESOURCES
Funding is available within the current operations budget of the Personnel Division in the Support Services Fund. To align all legal services contracts under the oversight of the City Attorney's office; the expense of $55,000 needs to move into the General Fund in the City Attorney's department.
