REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers awarding a proposal and approving a Statement of Services Contract with Shannon Pump Company to patch casing breaches, replace pump and column and all related pump system parts, returning Well #13 to reliable and acceptable condition.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:

A. Awarding a proposal and approving a Statement of Services Contract with Shannon Pump Company in the amount of $258,230.60 for Well 13 Repairs Project No. CP230064; and,

B. Authorizing the City Manager or Deputy City Manager to execute the necessary documents and approve change orders up to 10% of the contract price.

DISCUSSION
The project consists of, in general, patching casing breaches, replacing pump and column and all related pump system parts, and related repairs needed at Well #13. The Well failed due to a significant "sanding" event likely caused by breaches found in the casing. Shannon Pump was hired to remove the existing pump and inspect the casing to determine recommended next steps. Video inspection revealed the need to patch the casing. Close inspection of the pump system revealed the pump and related components were damaged, worn, in poor condition and in need of replacement.
