REPORT IN BRIEF
The Boys and Girls Club of Merced County is requesting an extension of an existing lease of the McCombs Youth Center with the City of Merced. The current lease will be extended for this fiscal year with an option to extend next fiscal year. Lease terms also include an annual stipend of $34,999.92 for utilities, landscaping, janitorial or pest control. Anything above and beyond the allocated stipend will be billed to the leasing agency.


RECOMMENDATION
Recreation and Parks Commission- Adopt a motion:

A. Reviewing and recommending approval or denial of the extension request of the current Lease Agreement with Boys and Girls Club of Merced County for afterschool youth programming at the McCombs Youth Center for a one-year term with an option to extend the term for an additional one-year term next fiscal year.

DISCUSSION
The City of Merced and the Boys and Girls Club of Merced County previously negotiated a lease for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 for use of the McCombs Youth Center for after school programming. The organization has requested an extension of the lease as allowed for in the current agreement approved by City Council in 2022-2023 Fiscal Year.
