RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:

A. Awarding a proposal and approving a Statement of Service with Park Planet in the amount of $343,070.51 for the replacement of playground equipment at three (3) parks; and,

B. Authorizing the City Manager or Deputy City Manager to execute the necessary documents and approve change orders up to 10% of the contract price.

DISCUSSION
The project consists of, in general, the removal of existing play equipment, as well as the supply and installation of new playground equipment at three mini-parks throughout Merced, including Dennis Chavez Memorial Park, Diego Rivera Park, and Charles Richard Drew Park.

Staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Mini Park Playground Replacement Project through the California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) delivery method.
