REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers approving a Third Amendment with Hoffman Electronic Systems to extend the term through June 30, 2025, for electronic alarm monitoring services at City-owned facilities.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:

A. Approving the Third Amendment with Hoffman Electronic Systems, to extend the contract term through June 30, 2025, for electronic alarm monitoring services at City-owned facilities in the additional amount not to exceed $25,000; and,

B. Authorizing the Finance Officer to make the necessary budget adjustments; and,

C. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.

Services with an estimated value greater than $37,000.00 are made by written contract in accordance with Merced Municipal Code, Title 3 - Revenue and Finance, Chapter 3.04.

As provided for in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Proposed Budget.

DISCUSSION
On May 18, 2020, Council approved a two-year contract, with option to extend for three additional one-year periods, with Hoffman Electronic Systems (Hoffman) in the annual amount of $21,012. The scope of services included providing electronic alarm monitoring services at approximately 111-City owned-facilities including, but not limited to: Storm Drain Pump Stations, Sanitary Sewer Lift Stations, Water Well Tanks, Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility, Merced Transportation Center, Ralph Shann...
