We want to welcome new Airport Manager Rhett Williams to the Merced Yosemite Regional Airport, his first day was on Monday, August 18, 2024.
Airport Staff have been focused on the Terminal Replacement Project. Weekly meetings with Diede Construction, Engineering Staff, Airport Staff and Mead & Hunt are held to give updates and to provide updated construction schedules.
Airport Manager and staff did a walk through with new terminal in October with Mead and Hunt. Project targeted for an early Summer 2025 opening.
Staff is working with RS&H Engineering firm to discuss the closure and plans for a new fuel farm at the Merced Yosemite Regional Airport. Single-walled underground storage tanks (USTs) must be permanently closed by December 31, 2025. This requirement includes both single-walled tanks and non-exempt single-walled piping per California Health and Safety Code, chapter 6.7, section 25292.05.
Airport Manager along with Karen Baker went to the FAA regional office for the FAA ACIP review for Merced Airport.

The Terminal lease between the City of Merced and Advanced Air requires Advanced Air to provide a written report to the City summarizing its marketing efforts on a quarterly basis. These reports are to be provided in October, January, April and July of each year for the duration of the Agreement.
Attached is Advanced Air’s Marketing Report for the second quarter of calendar 2023.
Barbara Hunt, VP of Business Operations, Advanced Air, will make a presentation on updated statistics regarding enplanements and load factors, as well as recent advertising and marketing campaigns. | | |
