REPORT IN BRIEF
Considers approving a donation of equipment, labor and materials in the value of $4,999 from Merced County Disc Golf Club (MCDGC) to replace carpet disc golf tee pads with concrete tee pads. MCDGC will work with City staff to ensure work is conducted per standards. The proposal includes the installation of “alternative pads” for female and junior players as well. These alternative tee pads cater to players of different skill levels ensuring that the course remains inclusive and welcoming to diverse participants and skill levels. The proposal also includes the addition of 6 new holes to the undeveloped area of the park. Expanding the current 21-hole disc golf layout with the addition of six new holes allows the City of Merced to host a championship-level course.
