REPORT IN BRIEF
Transfers a total of $30,000 in funds for consultant services, including environmental consultation and appraisal services to proceed with entitlement modifications and valuation services for the property located at 669 E. Yosemite Avenue.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion transferring $15,000 from Fund 047 Facilities-Police (City) and $15,000 from Fund 057 Facilities - Police (Developer) to Fund 449 Public Safety CIP and appropriating the same to 449-1001-627.65-00 Project 116040 Police Headquarters #2.

DISCUSSION
At the City Council meeting of November 21, 2016, staff was directed to pursue acquiring the Merced Sun-Star building as the site for the new Police Headquarters. In order to proceed with the acquisition, changes to the entitlements and land use designation need to occur for the site currently designated for the new Police Headquarters which is at 669 E. Yosemite Avenue (the northwest corner of E. Yosemite Avenue and Mansionette Drive.) Subsequent actions will also need to be taken which includes, but are not limited to, a general plan amendment, rezoning, review of the sale of the property to be in compliance with the general plan, noticing and declaring the property surplus, issuing a Request for Proposal and negotiating a Disposition and Development Agreement.
