Enter into an Agreement for Temporary Transfer of an Urban Search & Rescue Trailer and Associated Equipment Cache between the State of California Governor's Office of Emergency Services and the Merced Fire Department.
RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion authorizing the signing of the "Agreement for Temporary Transfer of Vehicular Equipment" between the State of California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (State) and the Merced Fire Department (Assignee).

DISCUSSION
The City of Merced Fire Department has received the authorization for the assignment of an Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Type II trailer and associated Equipment Cache. The vehicle will be provided to the City on a temporary transfer of equipment agreement. The agreement specifies that the City agrees to staff the trailer when requested by the State of California Office of Emergency Services to any location in the state. In turn, the City will benefit from the USAR trailer by having a Type II USAR trailer with the rescue equipment assigned to the City that can be used by the City at any time.
