Considers awarding a construction contract in the amount of $854,095.00, funded by Water System Enterprise funds, for City Project No. 113031 - Brimmer Water Main.

RECOMMENDATION
City Council - Adopt a motion:

A. Awarding the Brimmer Water Main, Project 113031, to Mid Cal Pipeline & Utilities, Inc., in the amount of $854,095.00; and,

B. Authorizing the City Manager or the Assistant City Manager to execute the necessary documents and to approve change orders not to exceed 10% of the total contract.

CITY COUNCIL PRIORITIES
As provided for in the 2020-21 Adopted Budget.

DISCUSSION
The work to be done consists of the replacement of existing 6" water main, located in resident's back yards, with an 8" water main to be located within the street, installation of new water services to resident's houses, replacement of water meters and boxes, removal of existing fire hydrants, installing new fire hydrants, installation of new hose bibs, asphalt concrete, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, valley gutter and driveways.
